Robo-War pinball rules and strategy

The Strategy

In ROBO-WAR, the right inlane lights the timed spinner at 10,000 per spin. The left ramp locks a ball, Stargate starts Multiball, and drop-target hits add to Multi-Bonus before the ramp and hole collect it.

The goal

Roll through the right inlane to light the spinner, Hold a raised flipper so a slow ball settles against it, giving you time to plan your next move. on the left flipper, and Shoot a target on the same side as the active flipper, often from near the flipper base and behind the nearby slingshot. the flashing spinner for 10,000 per spin. Relight it at the right inlane and repeat.

  1. Light the spinner

    Roll through the right inlane to make the spinner flash for a timed period.

  2. Backhand the flashing spinner

    Hold a raised flipper so a slow ball settles against it, giving you time to plan your next move. on the left flipper, then Shoot a target on the same side as the active flipper, often from near the flipper base and behind the nearby slingshot. the flashing spinner for 10,000 per spin.

  3. Relight and repeat

    When the spinner stops flashing, roll through the right inlane to relight it, regain control, and repeat the Shoot a target on the same side as the active flipper, often from near the flipper base and behind the nearby slingshot..

Alternative route: Multi-Bonus

Use this when the left ramp and Stargate target are safer than the spinner Shoot a target on the same side as the active flipper, often from near the flipper base and behind the nearby slingshot..

  1. Shoot the left ramp into the hole to lock one ball, then hit the Stargate target under the raised ramp to start two-ball Multiball.
  2. During Multiball, hit drop targets to add points to Multi-Bonus, then shoot the left ramp into the hole to collect it. Repeat while Multiball lasts.
Need to know
ADV X multiplier
Hitting a playfield target while its ADV X lamp is lit advances the multiplier.
Ball-count values
Both three-ball and five-ball settings score 5,000 times the multiplier for each drop-target hit during Multiball.
Left ramp and lock hole
Shoot the left ramp into the hole to lock a ball in single-ball play. During Multiball, the same ramp-into-hole shot collects Multi-Bonus.

Machine setup

  • Check ball count, carryover, and competition-game settings
  • Check Extra Ball and Special conversion
  • Use the first ball to read the most important return and reject
